How to use Online Virus Scanner ?
5 easy steps to use the online malware scanner:
1. Click on button "Browse..." and select the suspicious file you want to analyse.
2. If you think your file contain sensitive data and you not want to distribute click on "Advanced Options" and enable "Do not distribute the sample".
3. Click on "Submit File" to start uploading the file for analysis.
4. Now sit down and wait, the time for one scan will be from 20 seconds to 40 seconds and depend from how many queue are present.
5. When scan is finished you will see "Status - Finished" and result will be displayed.
What is Saved Report ?
Is the link to the report of your file that was analyzed and that will be saved in our database so you will be able to view it when you want.
Why if i visit session of my previous scan i get "session not exist" ?
Because the session is temporary, you should use the "Saved Report" link to see results of your analysis in next days.
What is RarSfx and Cabinet Archive ?
RarSfx archives and Cabinet archives are self-extracting archives, you can extract them with right click -> extract here (using WinRar).
What is Binder Detector ?
A "Binder" is a program that generally is used to bind (join) 2 files togheter, example: one is the virus and the other one is the real program, when the joined file will be executed, generally is executed also the virus (hidden) togheter with the real program, so you will be infected without "knowing" it. Binder Detector is a program wrote by our team that is able to detect if a file is joined/binded with a possible malware.
Sometimes I can not browse your virus scanner page, what can I do ?
Try to refresh page or if not work maybe scanner is in maintenance, you can retry later.
What is limit of file size to upload in virus scanner ?
You can upload a file of max 20 MB of size.
What is Search MD5 ?
You can insert MD5 Hash of a file and site will show you result of analysis if that file was analyzed before.
What is Self-Extract Archive ?
Is a program wrote by our team able to detect RarSFX and Cabiner archive that can be extracted with right click -> extract here (using WinRar) and you will be able to see files that was "inside" the Self-Extract Archive (in some cases if you see 2 .EXE files one can be the virus, to be more sure of this you can scan both files on our virus scanner).
Why I get "Please enable Javascript to see the results..." when I upload a file ?
